imageApp

imageApp is an application which displays your digital photo library in random sequence in a moveable and resizeable window.

Large numbers of photos sitting unseen on your hard drive will appear before you one by one, reminding you of how much your children have grown, or that great party from a couple of years ago or the amazing holiday you took last summer.

Features

  • When you first run imageApp you will be prompted to select a folder. The assumption is that you will have all your photos nested under a single, top-level folder, and that's the one you pick. imageApp will then traverse the sub-folders and load all ".jpg" and ".bmp" files. These will be displayed at random. When they have all been displayed, imageApp will display them again (and again) until you close it down.
  • When you run imageApp again it will remember the top level folder you picked the first time.
  • You can drag imageApp round the screen using the left mouse button.
  • You can resize imageApp by dragging the window edges.
  • imageApp sticks to the screen edges.
  • imageApp has a right-click menu which allows you to set various options, including:

    The top-level folder

    Always-on-top mode

The time each picture is displayed

    Load at startup
  • If you move the mouse over imageApp with the Ctrl key held down, a tooltip will appear with information about the number of images available, displayed, etc.
  • If you double click on the imageApp window the current image will be loaded in your image editor.
  • If you double click on the imageApp window with the Ctrl key held down, the path to the current image will be copied to the clipboard.
